About Rochester Electronics

Rochester Electronics is a private US technology company headquartered in Newburyport, Massachusetts, that manufactures and distributes worldwide semiconductors that are obsolete or approaching the end of their product life cycles. The company is authorized and licensed by more than 70 semiconductor manufacturers to manufacture and distribute semiconductors no longer produced by the original manufacturer. In addition, products are assembled and tested as a licensed manufacturer; components without available silicon or design documentation can be replicated. Rochester Electronics holds more than 12 billion silicon dies, stored in nitrogen-purged dry boxes, as well as billions of additional finished devices in climate-controlled warehouses, enabling the manufacture of over 70,000 device types. In 2006, the company initiated the Semiconductor Industry Association's Anti-Counterfeiting Task Force. Apart from a sales office in Munich, the company operates primarily in the USA, Asia and the United Kingdom.
