Clamping technology specialist since 1909
RÖHM GmbH, headquartered in Sontheim an der Brenz, is a manufacturer of clamping and gripping devices founded in 1909, with production sites in Sontheim, Dillingen an der Donau and St. Georgen. The company develops, designs and manufactures drill chucks, lathe chucks, face plates, power chucks, vises, centers, face drivers, steady rests, mandrels, collet chucks, cylinders, grippers, swivel units and tool clamping systems to SK and HSK standards. More than half of the products are custom special clamping devices; as a system supplier for turning and milling, the standard range comprises more than 7,000 items. Production is predominantly from steel and cast steel; at the Dillingen site, on portal turning and milling machines, workpieces up to 4 m in diameter and 25 t in weight are machined. The products are used, among others, in the automotive industry, aerospace, rail technology, energy technology, medical technology and in the machining of the smallest micro-components. RÖHM employs around 900 staff and delivers worldwide to more than 50 countries.

Quality and certification
The RÖHM Group applies strict quality controls supported by state-of-the-art electronic measurement methods; the initial certification to DIN EN ISO 9001 took place in 1997, and since 2009 a matrix certification of all branches by TÜV Management Service has been in place. In addition, RÖHM offers the clamping device check with test certificate as well as the sensor-equipped clamping jaw iJaw for in-process clamping force measurement.
