About Röwa
Rössle & Wanner GmbH manufactures beds, bed systems, mattresses and slatted frames under the Röwa brand ("the bed makers"). The product range includes solid wood beds made from laminated slat-glued oak and beech, the patented Boxframe® bed Unicata, the customisable bed system Ecco 2, and mattress series with cold foam, natural latex and pocket springs. Vertical integration is high: the beech wood for spring slats and slatted frames is processed in the company's own sawmill, mattress foams such as MTS biosyn® and AirCon® Cell are developed and foamed in-house, mattress covers made of jersey, Plein-Air wool and PLA fibres are produced at the company headquarters, where final assembly also takes place. With every slatted frame serial number, traceability back to the wood from the forest is possible. Founded in 1914 in Stuttgart as a steel spring mattress factory, the company employs 150 staff at the foot of the Swabian Alb and is a founding member of the Wirtschaftsinitiative Nachhaltigkeit (WIN) sustainability initiative in Baden-Württemberg.
