About us

Roland Aircraft is a medium-sized manufacturer of all-metal ultralight aircraft located directly at Mendig airfield in Rhineland-Palatinate. Founded in 1985 and led by Roland and Judith Hauke, the company has been building light aircraft since 1985 and sells them worldwide. The model range comprises the Z-602 in the economy and exclusiv variants (nosewheel, tailwheel, tailwheel with retractable gear), a STOL version as well as the 120-kg aircraft Z-120 Relax. From idea to finished aircraft, everything is produced in-house: design with 3-D CAD, manufacture of all parts on CNC machines including a CNC gantry milling machine, plastic and CFRP production (wheel fairings, propeller spinners), painting in the company's own paint shop, and final assembly of the modules in jigs. Bolted connections are made to aviation standards, and corrosion protection at material contact points is standard. The service offering includes maintenance, annual inspection, radio and transponder checks, and electronic propeller balancing. Customers include flight schools, flying clubs, occasional flyers and passionate pilots.
