About the Plöchinger Group
Rosa GmbH, headquartered in Zirndorf, is an energy trading company of the Plöchinger Group, which also includes Hirschmann, Energiehandel Roth GmbH (EHR) and Heldrich Mineralöle GmbH. The family-owned company supplies households, commercial businesses, agriculture, the construction industry and industry with low-sulphur heating oil, fuels, ENplus-certified wood pellets, lubricants as well as fuels such as firewood, briquettes, coal and bottled gas. As an authorised dealer of TotalEnergies, the Group distributes branded lubricants for agricultural machinery, construction machinery and industrial applications, and since 2024 has offered the synthetically produced renewable fuel HVO 100 (KlimaDiesel) at its own filling stations. The logistics operation comprises more than 50 vehicles, six locations and five own tank farms; since 2023 the company has operated a HVO 100 transshipment tank depot in Kümmersbruck. The Group traces its tradition back to a coal merchant business founded in Zirndorf in 1893 and is now in its fourth generation of family ownership.

Company History
- 1893
Johann Adam Rosa founds a coal merchant business in Zirndorf.
- 1964
Ingeborg Rosa and Günter Plöchinger take over the company; start of the heating oil trade.
- 1982
Stefan Plöchinger joins the company; trade and transport of diesel, petrol and lubricants, opening of a diesel filling station and first acquisitions (Pitroff, Schopper, Ortner).
- 1990er
Acquisition of the heating oil dealers Erdel and Geng in Zirndorf as well as further dealers (Hoyer, Rauh, Häfner, Hermann).
- 1994
Acquisition of Hans Hirschmann Mineralöl-Handelsgesellschaft in Hersbruck and Kümmersbruck; two tank farms and two filling stations added.

Acquisitions of Weckmann (Fürth) and Kallert (Wilhermsdorf, Neustadt/Aisch); founding of Energiehandel Roth GmbH (EHR) through acquisitions in the Roth region.
