About RRHD

RRHD GmbH, based in Kleindöttingen in the Swiss canton of Aargau, is a service company for demanding projects in the fields of toolmaking, design, 3D scanning and additive manufacturing. The company produces prototypes, functional parts and small series from high-performance plastics — primarily using the HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) powder bed process in PA12 (nylon). The build volume is 380 x 284 x 380 mm with a layer thickness of 0.08 mm and a standard accuracy of ±0.3 % (min. ±0.3 mm). Printed parts are post-processed in-house: machined, chemically smoothed (vapor smoothing), dye-dipped, painted or electroplated. Vapor smoothing produces surfaces close to injection molding quality that are hydrophobic. In addition, RRHD manufactures casting and laminating molds in model and toolmaking. Customers come from industries such as turbine manufacturing, rail vehicle construction, automotive, medical technology and industrial plant engineering.

Materials & Processes

PA12

Polyamide 12 (Nylon 12, HP PA 12)

Robust powder for MJF with high impact strength, temperature resistance up to 175 °C and good chemical resistance.

MJF

HP Multi Jet Fusion (powder bed 3D printing)

Fast additive process for prototypes, functional parts and small series without support structures.

VS

Vapor Smoothing (chemical surface smoothing)

Smooths MJF and SLS parts without adding foreign material to an injection-molding-like, hydrophobic surface.

FORM

Model & Toolmaking

Manufacture of casting and laminating molds from design data.

SCAN

3D Scanning & CAD Design

Digitization of existing parts and design as the basis for manufacturing.
