Rudi Knopp Maschinen GmbH was founded in 1950 by Rudi Knopp and is based in Rohrdorf near Nagold in the Black Forest. The company manufactures and sells machines for glass processing – including belt grinding machines, single- and double-sided drilling machines, sawing machines, disc grinding machines and handle shell grinding machines – as well as machines for metal processing such as centerless cylindrical grinding and polishing machines and belt grinding machines. According to its own statements, all machines are designed and developed in-house and manufactured on CNC-controlled machines; customer-specific custom designs are possible. In addition, the company offers contract manufacturing: 5-axis milling, turn-mill machining and metrology with initial sample inspection reports based on VDA. The portfolio of services also includes the assembly of assemblies up to complete tools, spare parts service, customer service visits, consumables such as diamond core drills and grinding/polishing belts, as well as customer consulting, demonstrations and sample machining in the company's own showrooms.
