Rudolf Großfurtner GmbH is a slaughtering and cutting plant founded in 1972 with its headquarters in Utzenaich in Upper Austria. The company processes pigs and cattle and supplies national and international customers with meat products. At the St. Martin/Innkreis site, the subsidiary Meat and Eat GmbH produces convenience products exclusively on the basis of Austrian raw materials. Production places particular emphasis on the traceability of the raw and auxiliary materials used as well as on continuous yield control, which has been confirmed by several audits. Thanks to its own photovoltaic system and the use of electricity and heat from a biogas plant, the convenience facility operates largely energy-autonomously. The company regards the continuous improvement of processes and workflows as the basis of its further development.
