About Rudolf Storz
Rudolf Storz GmbH is a family-owned company founded in 1949 in Emmingen-Liptingen with more than 175 employees from 12 nations. The company operates as a contract manufacturer and producer in medical technology, manufacturing surgical instruments and medical devices – from one-piece surgical instruments to complex spinal sets. The range of services includes multi-axis CNC milling, CNC turning, CNC grinding, wire EDM, pressing, bending, surface treatment (vibratory finishing, sandblasting, electropolishing), TIG/MAG welding, fully automatic cleaning to medical technology standards, laser and UDI marking, and final assembly. Materials machined include stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, PEEK, carbon-fibre-reinforced plastics, copper and bronze. Thanks to an automated machine park with pallet grippers and loading robots, production runs around the clock, on parts from pin size up to DIN A3. The portfolio comprises more than 7,000 standard products in ten product areas such as orthopaedics, spinal instruments, dermatomes and ENT instruments, supplemented by custom-made products with in-house toolmaking. Manufacturing and development take place entirely in Germany.
