The Company
Sächsische SANDSTEINWERKE GmbH is a mid-sized family company based in Pirna-Rottwerndorf that has been active on the national and international natural stone market for generations. The company extracts high-quality Elbe sandstone in six quarries of its own, including the Cottaer, Reinhardtsdorfer and Postaer sandstone varieties, and processes it mechanically at the plant in Pirna. The range of services includes customer consulting, quarry and stone engineering, on-site surveying, planning and stoneworking implementation, stonemasonry, sculptural and restoration work, as well as the installation of modern facades and massive elements. Traditional craftsmanship is combined with state-of-the-art CNC-controlled machines for large-scale series production; in addition, custom-made one-offs and complete solutions from a single source are offered. The standard range for landscaping and garden construction includes quarry-faced, column and slip bricks, paving slabs, copings, wall, paving and kerb stones as well as crushed stone in various grain sizes. With its own logistics and a company-owned truck crane, customers are supplied nationwide and, on request, internationally.
