About Sägewerk Lückenmühle GmbH
Sägewerk Lückenmühle GmbH is a fourth-generation family business based in Remptendorf-Lückenmühle (Saale-Orla district, Thuringia) that has been working with wood for over 125 years at the same location – originally known as Meissner-Holz. The sawmill produces sawn timber and construction timber from spruce, pine and larch, sawn-rough, sorted according to DIN 4074 grading classes and up to 12 m in length, including additional services such as contract sawing to carpenter specifications, contract planing, cutting to length, impregnation and drying to below 18% wood moisture (IPPC). The company also manufactures wooden constructions and made-to-measure products in its own joinery, including carports, hunting towers, garden houses, garden furniture, exterior cladding, balconies, solid wood floors as well as furniture, stairs and doors. The range is complemented by the company's own HOLZWERT Plus® brand with sawdust, wood chips and wood briquettes made from the sawmill's own by-products, as well as a home improvement store with over 5,000 stock items. Only Thuringian wood from sustainable forestry is processed; a crane service with a 17 m loading crane as well as delivery, consulting and assembly complete the service portfolio.
