About Salinity
Salinity is a Swedish family business from Gothenburg that has been trading in salt since 1830 and is today run by the fourth generation. From its Gothenburg location, the company supplies a global market with salt products for food production and large-scale catering, agriculture, winter road maintenance and industry. The portfolio includes food-grade salt, animal salt, de-icing salt for ice and snow melting, dust suppression with calcium and magnesium chloride, salt tablets and vacuum salts for water softening, as well as urea and sodium bicarbonate for industrial applications such as flue gas cleaning and the paper, glass and pharmaceutical industries. In addition, silage additives (Safesil), fertilisers (urea, Besal) and game feed (SP Apex) are offered. A particular focus is a naturally sodium-reduced mineral salt (35 % less sodium) from an underground salt deposit in Chile.

Sodium chloride / vacuum salt
High-purity vacuum salt as salt tablets, granular and rock salt for water softening.
Rock salt
Mined and sieved from salt deposits 500–800 m deep, for ice and snow melting as well as water softening.
Calcium chloride
For dust suppression on gravel surfaces such as paths and car parks.
Magnesium chloride
A milder alternative for dust suppression; absorbs moisture and binds less dust than calcium chloride.
Sea salt
Mineral-rich natural product with coarse grains for cosmetics, health and food.
Urea
Nitrogen source for feed and fertilisation, also used for flue gas cleaning and as a binder in the panel industry.
Sodium bicarbonate
