About SALMATEC
SALMATEC GmbH is an international mechanical engineering company with around 150 employees that has been developing and manufacturing pelletizing systems and wear parts for the entire pelletizing technology sector since 1972. The product portfolio includes the Maxima pellet mill press series, Salmacon-series conditioners, Salmatherm hygiene treatment units for thermal treatment, compact pelletizing systems, and turnkey pellet plants including conveying technology, silos, loading systems and Siemens S7 control. Wear parts such as dies and rollers are manufactured in-house on around 1,600 m² of production space in a CNC facility completely renewed in 2024 — also for pellet mill presses from other manufacturers. More than 2,500 machines are in operation worldwide, from the USA to Japan. The systems process wood and biomass, animal feed, recycling materials (RPF, waste wood), fermentation residues, sewage sludge, fertilizers and straw. Conditioners are made of stainless steel 1.4301, 1.4401 and duplex steel 1.4462. Administration and production are located in Gödenstorf, Lower Saxony, fully consolidated on a 25,000 m² company site since 2025.
