About Salvis AG
Salvis AG is a Swiss manufacturer of professional kitchen technology based in Oftringen. The company develops and manufactures cooking, frying, deep-frying and holding appliances, pressure steamers, multifunctional pans, boiling kettles, induction cooking systems and customised cooking line installations for gastronomy, hotels and communal catering. Thermal components are manufactured in-house; appliance assembly takes place at the Oftringen site. The materials used are predominantly chromium-nickel steel, supplemented by glass ceramic, glass, copper, cast iron and special plastics, for example in the GreenVAC vacuuming system. In addition to manufacturing, Salvis offers kitchen planning, delivery, installation and a 24-hour service throughout Switzerland. Founded in 1915 by Emil Salvisberg, the company already produced one of the first electric cookers in 1920 and specialised in large-scale kitchen technology from 1960 onwards. In 1997, Salvis AG was acquired by Franke. Since 2025, the product line has been trading under the name Blackline.
