About us

SALZGARTEN EPPSTEIN UG is a manufactory for refined gourmet salts based in Eppstein in the Taunus. The sea salts used come mainly from the Bahía de Cádiz on the Spanish Atlantic coast, where they have been extracted and harvested for generations in the traditional manner in old Roman salt gardens; the salina in San Fernando has been family-owned for more than five generations. In the company's own manufactory in Eppstein, the sea salts are refined with mainly fresh ingredients, organic quality wherever possible. The goal is to preserve the fresh, natural taste of the sea salts and to complement it with fine nuances. The products are aimed at gourmets and are sold through the company's own online shop as well as regularly at trade fairs with product samples. The company follows the principle of only selling what it eats itself, placing value on deliberately selected ingredients and known origin.
