About SAM Robotics
SAM Robotics is a start-up from the environment of TUM Venture Labs Robotics & AI in Munich that develops software for cognitive service robotics. Its core product is the SAM Cognition Platform, a platform-independent software solution that equips mobile robots with multilingual voice control, object and spatial recognition, and memory of places. The software can be deployed on any mobile robot, provided it has a microphone and speaker for speech input and output, a camera for object recognition, and code-based high-level motion control. As a reference platform, a Boston Dynamics Spot was integrated in 2023, on which an early version of the software was running within one day. SAM Robotics targets applications in the field of Human-Robot-Interaction and brings generative AI into the physical world of service robots.
