Samtech Extraktionstechnik GmbH is an Austrian engineering and manufacturing company based in Tadten (Burgenland), specialising in extraction systems for the solid-liquid extraction of plant-based raw materials. The DIG-MAZ series systems, including DIG-MAZ 10 and DIG-MAZ 500, are used by customers from the pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics industry, food and beverage industry, and chemical industry. The company was founded in 2009 by Barbara Wolfsbauer and builds on experience since 1999, when its predecessor SAM Extraktionstechnik took over the DIG-MAZ extraction system manufacturing business from SAM Apparate & Maschinenbau. Since 14 August 2013, the extraction systems have been manufactured entirely in-house in Tadten. Research and development as well as cooperation with customers and research institutes form the basis for the continuous further development of the system technology; the systems are exported worldwide.
