About Sapporo Nishiyama

SAPPORO NISHIYAMA EUROPE GmbH is the European headquarters, founded in 2013, of the Japanese company Nishiyama Seimen Co., Ltd. from Sapporo. The company produces raw ramen, dried ramen, boiled noodles, yakisoba, noodle wrappers, frozen gyoza as well as noodles for school meals; the group sister company Nishiyama Foods produces meat processing products such as char-siu. The foundation is a range of over 60 flour types including ramen-specific wheat flour as well as alkaline natural deep groundwater from a depth of 200 meters, fed by snowmelt water in Hokkaido. Production uses processes that were the first of their kind in the industry, such as bulk storage tanks for wheat flour, a fully automatic flow-jet mixing system, and robots in the manufacturing process. The noodles are used in more than 3,000 ramen restaurants in Japan; exports have existed since 1975, with many years of experience in frozen transport. From Düsseldorf, the company supplies restaurants and retail in Europe and offers recipe development, cooking training and free noodle samples.
