Sarna Plastec AG is a manufacturer based in Alpnach in the canton of Obwalden, specialising in plastics processing. The company produces custom moulded parts and packaging from particle foams (EPS, EPP, EPE), processes technical films and manufactures moulded fiber packaging from recycled paper and natural fibers. In foam technology, moulded parts are produced with properties such as flame-retardant, antistatic, conductive or bio-based; in film technology, deep drawing/vacuum forming, die cutting as well as high-frequency and thermal contact welding are used. Moulded fiber is produced in volumes of up to 50'000 units per year. The service portfolio covers the entire value chain from CAD design through prototypes and toolmaking to series production, storage, logistics including customs clearance and after-sales service. Customers come from industries such as packaging, medical, construction, mobility, wellness, aviation and sports; more than 2'200 customer projects have been realised to date. As quality and environmental management systems, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 are certified; a 1'300 m² solar installation on the company building covers a large share of energy needs from renewable sources.
