About Savonnerie de la Cité

Savonnerie de la Cité produces handmade natural soaps without palm oil, which are made and packaged entirely by hand in its own workshop in Genève. Production follows the traditional and ecological cold-process saponification method (Saponification à froid); the soaps are offered as superfatted, mildly moisturising products. The raw materials are 100% natural plant oils and butters in organic quality or bearing the GRTA label for local oils such as sunflower and rapeseed oil. In addition to soaps (55 g), the range includes solid shampoos, gift sets, gift vouchers and corporate gifts. Workshops and courses on saponification are also offered. The company places value on short supply chains, direct access to producers and local partnerships; the products are available via an online shop and at the company's own sales point (Arcade) on Rue des Grottes in Genève.
