About SBV Stahltechnik
SBV Stahltechnik is a consulting and distribution company founded in 1972, headquartered in Oedheim (Baden-Württemberg) and specialized in technical castings made of stainless steel, steel and aluminium. The company offers four casting processes: investment casting, vacuum investment casting, water glass investment casting and aluminium die casting (cold chamber, 150–1200 bar). Production takes place in its own or affiliated plants in China (Taizhou/Jiangyan, 30,000 m², 600 employees) and, since 2024, in Rayong, Thailand; at each location, more than 100 CNC machining centres for milling, turning, drilling and grinding are available. With a daily capacity of 20 tonnes, assembly-ready components are produced for Automotive & Two-Wheelers, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, Food Industry, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Rail & Marine as well as Sanitary Engineering. At the in-house hardening shop in Germany, the surface hardness of stainless steel is increased to over 900 HV; stress relieving and polishing are carried out in-house. Project engineering, quality assurance, intermediate storage and logistics are managed by the German team.

Materials and Manufacturing Processes
Investment Casting
Complex geometries, thin walls and high surface quality, among others for stainless steel, steel and aluminium.
Vacuum Investment Casting
Pore-free, dense components without oxidation and air inclusions for highly stressed components.
Water Glass Investment Casting
Cost-efficient process for large, robust steel and stainless steel parts in medium volumes.
Aluminium Die Casting (Cold Chamber)
Dimensionally accurate, repeatable aluminium components with short cycle times for series production.
Stainless Steel 1.4404
Corrosion-resistant stainless steel for construction machinery, agricultural machinery and brewery equipment.
Stainless Steel 1.4408
Casting material for robust, corrosion-resistant components in mechanical engineering.
Stainless Steel Hardening
In-house hardening shop increases the surface hardness to over 900 HV without loss of corrosion resistance.
Rapid Prototyping (3D Printing of Wax Models)
Fast prototype and small-series production prior to series release.
