About SCANDAT
SCANDAT GmbH is a service company specialised in remote sensing using infrared technologies, headquartered in Berlin-Biesdorf. Founded in 1996 by specialists from space research, the company offers customised remote sensing services from a single source: from airborne data acquisition and the creation of thematic mappings to the evaluation and GIS integration of the results. Core services are condition analyses of district heating networks, thermal building inspections and building registers, investigations of media transport pipelines (gas, water, oil), hot spot searches on high-voltage lines, contaminated site explorations, landfill investigations as well as inspections of photovoltaic systems. A modern equipment fleet with cooled thermal imagers is used, including systems with thermal resolution up to 25 mK. Since its foundation, more than 180 projects have been realised for European heat supply companies and municipalities, with over 30,000 km of district heating pipelines investigated. Customers come from the utility sector, municipalities, the housing industry and research.
