About Schäfer Group
Schäfer Group is a medium-sized family company that has been active in industrial plant construction since 1987. With more than 200 employees, the company implements complex industrial projects along the entire value chain: from permitting planning through engineering and design to fabrication, assembly, commissioning as well as maintenance and servicing. The portfolio includes plant construction as Owner's Engineer, EPC or EPCM contractor, piping construction for low- and medium-pressure systems, loading technology such as loading ramps, loading bridges and tipper platforms, as well as electrical engineering and industrial services. The offering is complemented by project services including project management, scheduling, contract and risk management and independent project analysis. Terrestrial 3D laser scanning captures existing plants with millimeter precision – as a basis for conversion, expansion or reverse engineering. The services are aimed at industrial customers including those from plant construction, bulk solids and grain handling, and container logistics.
- Processes
- Plant construction (concept study, engineering, commissioning, EPC/EPCM/Owner's Engineer,, 3D laser scanning / surveying (as-built capture, reverse engineering), Engineering and design (front end, basic, detail engineering, 3D model, isometrics), FEM analysis (simulation of behavior under load, stress calculation), Piping construction (planning, fabrication and assembly of low- and medium-pressure piping systems), Loading technology (mobile and stationary loading ramps, loading bridges, loading platforms, tipper, Project management (budget preparation, scheduling, cost control, PMO, change and, Permitting planning (permit-ready documentation)
