Schär + Leuenberger Schaltanlagen AG is a manufacturer of electrical switchgear assemblies founded in 1986 and based in Langenthal. Its service portfolio covers planning and electrical schematic design (EPLAN P8), the construction of main and sub-distribution boards – conventional and type-tested up to 5000 A –, reactive power compensation as well as machine and process controls and heating, ventilation and air-conditioning controls. In addition, the company offers commissioning, installation, maintenance, replacement of components and systems, thermographic inspections as well as plate engraving and labelling. The company employs 25 staff and works in close contact with customers and suppliers, along with targeted further training of its employees. Reference projects include Coop LoBOS Schafisheim, B. - 1986
Founding of the company Schär + Leuenberger Schaltanlagen on 3 April.
- 1998
Opening of the branch at Weidackerstrasse, Langenthal; the first type-tested switchgear assemblies in the region.
- 1999
Acquisition of Rickli Schaltanlagen AG, Bützberg; conversion into a public limited company and relocation of the main business to Bern-Zürichstrasse 40, Langenthal.
- 2004
Extensive renovation and expansion of the main business.

Integration of the Bützberg branch into the new premises on Bern-Zürichstrasse, Langenthal.
