About us

Schattgar GmbH develops and sells a fully automatic side awning that extends together with the main awning and thereby adds lateral shading on the terrace or balcony. The product is compatible with and can be retrofitted to standard commercial awnings and, at the correct mounting height, closes the gap between the main and side awning, creating continuous shading. Sales are conducted via the company's own online shop with a wide variety of patterns and colors. The company was founded out of a family development effort: initiator Jürgen Gall contributes many years of experience as an IT consultant, and his son Daniel Gall, a precision mechanic, contributes the technical and practical know-how. After initial experiments beginning in June 2019, a sole proprietorship in September 2019, and completion of the first prototype in February 2020, the company was founded in March 2021. The company is based in Augsburg.
