Founded in 1982, Schauf GmbH is a company based in Wuppertal that develops and produces digital scoreboards and complete display systems. The portfolio covers three areas: sports displays (video cubes, video displays and scoreboards for sports halls, sports fields and multi-purpose arenas), industrial and display systems for showing production figures, quantities and times – even at distances of up to 400 metres, indoors and outdoors in LED or TFT technology – as well as clock and time systems with master clocks, time centres and analogue or digital clocks. According to the company, software and hardware development is carried out entirely Made in Germany. The offering ranges from consulting and planning through production and assembly to commissioning, maintenance and an in-house customer service department, complemented by rental and financing models. For over 30 years, the company has also distributed clocks from its Swedish partner Westerstrand Urfabrik in Germany with a workforce of around 20 employees. Since 2006, Schauf GmbH has been part of the Frowein Group; in 2024 the administration moved to Wuppertal and production to Remscheid.
