About Schenker Hydraulik AG
Schenker Hydraulik AG is a family-run Swiss company originating in 1932. Its range of services covers the overhaul, repair and manufacture of hydraulic cylinders, pumps and hydraulic systems as well as hard chrome plating and grinding of industrial cylindrical parts. At its own hard chrome plant in Erlinsbach, repair and new chrome plating is carried out including upstream and downstream grinding work; the range extends from cylindrical grinding and polishing through belt grinding, dechroming and internal hard chrome plating to honing and superfinishing. Thanks to its own mechanical manufacturing, bearing and sealing technology and servo hydraulics, the company offers complete solutions from analysis through restoration to commissioning. Around 40 specialists serve customers from mechanical engineering, the automotive industry and the printing industry. German customers are also served via the German subsidiary HST Hydraulik System-Technik GmbH in Bad Säckingen, including transport and customs clearance. In 2024, DEMA Metallspritzwerk iCoat AG in Schinznach Dorf was acquired.

Materials & Processes
Hard chrome
Electrolytically applied hard chrome layers (64 HRC, 800–1100 HV) for wear and corrosion protection, also as dimensional (build-up) chrome plating.
Nickel
Intermediate coating for optimized corrosion protection under hard chrome layers.
Copper
Intermediate coating to improve corrosion protection.
Zinc
Electroplated zinc coating, historically part of the service portfolio since 1946.
Silver
Electroplated silver coating, historically in the portfolio since 1946.
Steel
Cylindrical components such as piston rods, shafts and cylinder tubes as base material.
