About Scherer & Bühler
Scherer & Bühler AG is a family-owned wine trading company founded in Meggen in 1837. Its range comprises over 3000 wines from all over the world with a focus on Europe (Italy, Spain, France), complemented by champagnes, sparkling wines and spirits; since 1983 wines have also come from North and South America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The import department supplies more than 250 producer partners via its own climate-controlled bonded warehouse in Meggen. The company's own winery handles over five million litres of wine; depending on wine type, maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks, Borsari tanks, foudres or barriques. In the Meggen bottling plant, two fully automatic lines operate with a capacity of up to 10'000 bottles per hour; Bag-in-Box and KEG bottling as well as contract bottling for external partners are also offered. With the Grillette Domaine de Cressier wine estate acquired in 2011 (20 ha, biodynamic) and the Domaine Grisoni added in 2017 (12 ha, herbicide-free since 2018), the company covers the entire value chain from vine to glass. Its core business is supplying the specialist, retail and wholesale trade as well as the gastronomy sector in Switzerland, complemented by the B2C Chez Grisoni branches.
