About Scheuten Glass

Scheuten is a manufacturer of glass solutions for the international construction industry, founded in 1950 and headquartered in Venlo (Netherlands). The company processes float glass into products such as insulating glass (Isolide®, Trisolide®), laminated safety glass with PVB film (Multisafe®), tempered glass (Securesafe), solar- and heat-reflecting glass (Brilliant®), sound-insulating glass (Multi Phon®), fire-resistant glass, and design glass with screen printing, enamel coating and special films. Production encompasses cutting, machining, tempering, coating, laminating and the manufacture of double and triple insulating glass units with noble gas filling (argon, krypton) and warm-edge spacers. Scheuten supplies residential, office and multi-storey construction, public buildings, and projects such as the World Trade Center New York and the Al Sila Tower Abu Dhabi. Production sites are located in the Netherlands (Venlo), Belgium (Webbekom/Diest) and Germany (Scheuten Glastechnik Heiden GmbH). Since 2020, Scheuten has been part of the Swiss Glas Trösch Group.

Glass Types & Processes

FL

Float glass

Base material for all further processing stages; produced in-house at the Venlo site (Scheuten base glass).

ISO

Insulating glass Isolide®/Trisolide®

Double and triple thermal insulation glazing with argon or krypton filling and warm-edge spacers, Ug values down to 0.5 W/m²K.

PVB

Laminated safety glass Multisafe®

Glass panes pressed together under high pressure with PVB film; blocks 99% of UV radiation, fragments remain adhered if broken.

ESG

Tempered glass Securesafe

Five times stronger than untreated glass; shatters into small, harmless granules when broken.

SON

Solar- and heat-control glass Brilliant®/Isolide Sun®/Screenline®

Coatings or integrated solar control for large glass surfaces in office and residential buildings.

PHON

Sound-insulating glass Multi Phon®/Isolide Phon®

Glazing fitted with an acoustic film (SAF) reduces noise levels to as little as one quarter.

BRAND

Fire-resistant glass

In cooperation with FireSwiss, Vetrotech and Pyroguard; complies with EN 13501-2 and carries CE marking.

DESIGN

Design glass (screen printing, Colorsafe®, dichroic film)

Design options ranging from coloured coating and screen printing to rainbow effects via special films.
