About Schiffswerft Fischer
Schiffswerft Fischer GmbH is a family-run shipyard in Mukrena, a district of Könnern in Saxony-Anhalt, located directly on the Saale. It is the only remaining shipyard on the Saale and emerged in 1997 from the traditional Karl-Grieseler shipyard. Its range of services includes new shipbuildings, ship repairs and conversions (e.g. engine refits), floating jetty systems, hydraulic steel structures and hydropower installations, metalworking in steel, stainless steel and aluminium, as well as mechanical engineering. On the approx. 6.000 to 10.000 m² shipyard site there is a shipbuilding hall, a metalworking building, a slipway with seven cross-slip trolleys and a longitudinal slipway, as well as mooring facilities at two sheet-pile walls. The company's own 45-t mobile crane, a Liebherr LTC 1045, is used for crane work within a 70 km radius and for loading boats. The offering is complemented by blasting work, preservation work with marine industrial paints from Akzo Nobel and Sika, as well as service and winter storage for recreational boats.
