Schill+Seilacher "Struktol" GmbH is a manufacturer of chemical specialties and industrial process additives headquartered in Hamburg. Founded in 1877, the company develops and produces rubber additives such as lubricants, peptizers, tackifiers, plasticizers and sulfur preparations as well as defoamers for biotechnology, food and technical applications, reactive polymers and flame retardants, latex additives, silicones and release agents. Production takes place in modern chemical production plants according to certified management systems; around one third of employees work in research and development, and customer-specific "tailor-made" products are also developed. The products are used in the rubber and tire industry, the plastics, latex, adhesive, textile and leather industries as well as in the food, construction materials and paper industries. The group employs around 900 people at six independent production sites in Germany, the USA and Malaysia.

History
- 1877
Founded by Karl Schill and Christoph Seilacher in Heilbronn (chemical specialties for leather processing).
- 1881
Relocation of the production facility to Feuerbach near Stuttgart.
- 1925
Opening of an additional production plant in Hamburg to serve export markets.
- 1943
A severe air raid largely destroys the plant facilities in Hamburg; part of production is relocated to Böblingen.
- 1945
Reconstruction of the Hamburg plant after the Second World War.

Foundation of Struktol Company of America in the state of Ohio.
