About SKS

Schleifmittel-Werk Karl Seiffert (SKS), based in Hilden, is a manufacturer of grinding wheels, grinding bodies and dressing tools for almost all grinding processes. Since the 1960s, precision grinding with ceramic- and resin-bonded grinding wheels has been the company's core business, which can look back on more than a century of experience. The product range includes abrasives with ceramic, resin and rubber bonds using corundum types (sintered, single-crystal, ball, ruby, semi-precious and regular corundum, zirconia corundum), silicon carbide as well as CBN and diamond grinding bodies. The portfolio is complemented by stationary dressing tools with CVD, MKD and natural diamonds as well as custom-made products in unusual shapes and formats. In addition to production, SKS offers personal consulting and on-site SKS training courses. Quality recommendations support customers in selecting suitable abrasives for steel, cast iron, carbide, non-ferrous metals, plastics and rubber.
