About Schloss Raggendorf
Schloss Raggendorf Sekt- und Weinhandel GmbH is a family-run business based in Prottes in the Weinviertel region of Lower Austria. In 1958, the first Ritter sparkling wine was bottled at Schloss Raggendorf; today, around 6 million bottles of sparkling wine and wine are sold annually, making the company one of the top 3 in the Austrian sparkling wine market. Production takes place at various European wineries, while administration and direct sales are located at the castle site. Core competencies include the development and bottling of own brands as well as the gentle dealcoholization of wine and sparkling wine by vacuum distillation below 28 °C with integrated aroma water recovery – also as contract processing for cloudy and foaming products. In addition, the company offers individual sparkling wines with custom labels, non-alcoholic cocktails under the Sir James 101 brand, and the rental of the Renaissance castle, restored in 2016, as an event castle.
