Wine Estate and World of Culinary Delights
Schloss Vollrads is a castle and wine estate in Oestrich-Winkel in the Hessian Rheingau, which looks back on a winemaking tradition dating from 1211 – the oldest surviving wine invoice dates from that year. The estate cultivates around 70 hectares of vineyards (Wikipedia: 63 ha) and grows exclusively Riesling, from which all quality levels are produced, from Qualitätswein through Kabinett, Spätlese, Auslese, Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese to Eiswein. In addition to still wines, the estate's own winery also produces Riesling sparkling wine (Sekt) in Brut and extra Brut variants. The vineyard sites include the Schloss Vollrads district with the parcels Schlossberg, Greiffenberg, Marienberg and Honigberg as well as plots in Oestrich-Winkel, Hattenheim and Geisenheim; the estate is a member of the Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP). Since 2022 the wine estate has been in the qualification phase for organic farming. The business includes, alongside viticulture and the winery, a wine shop in the Kutscherhaus (coach house), an estate restaurant in the Kavaliershaus, seasonal taverns in the courtyard, an events office for events, tours and wedding ceremonies, as well as the traditional Christmas market; the castle courtyard also serves as an open-air venue for the Rheingau Musik Festival.

Organic Farming
The wine estate is in the qualification phase for organic farming. The screw caps (since the changeover in 2017 from Vino-Lok glass closures) prevent cork taint.
