About Schlossbrauerei Friedenfels
Schlossbrauerei Friedenfels GmbH is an independent brewery from Friedenfels in the Upper Palatinate (district of Tirschenreuth, Bavaria). It was built in 1886–1888 by Kommerzienrat Gustav von Siegle as a beer brewery with a brewery inn and still stands today at Gemmingen-Straße 31 next to the historic castle farmyard. The brewery produces a range of beer specialties, including lager beers, Zoigl, hefeweizen, radler and non-alcoholic beers, as well as the in-house produced home-style lemonade Frucade and wine spritzers. The beer is brewed by hand using brewing water from the company's own wells with spring water from the Steinwald Nature Park, as well as hops and malt as raw materials. The beverages are distributed via the company's own online shop, a home delivery service (beverage delivery), an event service, and through supermarkets, beverage retailers, restaurants and inns. In 2022 the Gemmingen-Hornberg family withdrew from the active areas of the businesses; in 2023 an investor from Baden-Württemberg took over the brewery.
