Schlossbrauerei Reckendorf

Schlossbrauerei Reckendorf Georg Dirauf GmbH & Co. KG is a brewery with a brewing tradition dating back to 1597, located in Reckendorf in Lower Franconia. The product range currently comprises eleven beer varieties as well as beer-based mixed drinks and various non-alcoholic beverages. All beer specialties are brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. The raw materials are sourced exclusively from the region: brewing water from a local well, hops from Spalt and the Hallertau, and malt from Franconian malt houses; the yeast is propagated in the brewery itself. Production covers the classic brewing processes, from mashing in the brewhouse through fermentation in the fermenting cellar to maturation in the lager cellar, which takes approximately six weeks. Filling is done in bottles and kegs; yeast-cloudy beer specialties such as wheat beer and Kellerbier are complemented by brightly filtered varieties. Sales take place directly at the brewery and via the beverage trade.
