About Schloßbrauerei Schwarzbach
Schloßbrauerei Schwarzbach GmbH is a Thuringian brewery in Schwarzbach (municipality of Auengrund) in the Thuringian Forest, which traces a brewing tradition first documented in 1400. The range includes a Helles (Pils), the black beer Raubritter Dunkel, the wheat beer Sonnen-Weiße, a Bock beer, a dark double caramel, and, as a nourishing beer variant, a malt beer with low alcohol content (1.9%) made from sugar and yeast; in addition, various lemonades are bottled. Production takes place in the brewery's own brewhouse with an energy-saving boiling system, modern beer filtration, and filling in bottles (0.5 l) and KEG kegs. Value creation includes an in-house biological wastewater treatment plant, logistics with its own vehicle fleet, and photovoltaic systems on the brewhouse and warehouse. In 2024, an energy-saving bottle washing system from GM Getränketechnik of Gera was commissioned. The market area is the hospitality industry and beverage trade in Thuringia and Franconia.

Additional services
Quality & Environment
The brewery operates its own biological wastewater treatment plant and, in 2024, reduced its water consumption by roughly two thirds thanks to the new bottle washing system. Photovoltaic systems on the brewhouse and warehouse (a total of around 1,600 m²) generate solar power; the vehicle fleet was converted to fuel-saving vehicles.
