About Schlossbrauerei Stöckle
Schlossbrauerei Stöckle Schmieheim e.K. is a mid-sized regional brewery in Kippenheim-Schmieheim in the Ortenau district, with a brewing licence granted in 1843. It brews naturally preserved, mostly naturally cloudy beers, including Hieronymus-Bier, the Schlössle and the Geroldsecker, named after the Hohengeroldseck castle ruin — six draught beers in total. The brewing water comes from an 80-metre-deep deep well on the brewery premises. The brewery supplies retail and gastronomy in its sales territory from Freiburg to Baden-Baden; deliveries are made from the warehouse in Schmieheim. After being taken over by the Lusch family, the business is now run in its fifth generation by owner Jörg Lusch. Brewery tours are available by arrangement.
