About Schmidmeier NaturEnergie
Schmidmeier NaturEnergie GmbH is a family business founded in 2009 and based in Zeitlarn/Ödenthal in the Upper Palatinate, which implements plants for CO2-neutral energy generation as a general contractor. The company builds biomass heating (and combined heat and power) plants in the power range of 500 to 25,000 kW for industry, commerce and municipalities – as stationary plants in a dedicated boiler house (4,000–25,000 kW) or as a mobile double-deck container energy centre up to 3,000 kW. The service portfolio covers the entire value chain: preliminary planning and engineering including permits under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), civil and structural engineering, in-house pipework construction (high-pressure piping up to 400 mm diameter, 80 bar, 400 °C), control and electrical engineering, CE conformity, as well as commissioning and subsequent service. The plants generate hot water, high-temperature water, saturated steam (2–32 bar), superheated steam (up to 450 °C), hot gas and thermal oil; in addition, the company offers Power-to-Heat solutions, large-scale heat pumps, biomethane upgrading, biochar, CHP and CO2 capture. With around 75 employees, 37 plants with a total installed capacity of 135 MW have been built, including in Scotland and Switzerland.

Fuels and Materials
Waste wood A I
High-calorific fuel with high ash and slag content, used with water-cooled grate frames and hydraulic furnace cooling.
Waste wood A II
Common waste wood fuel for heating and combined heat and power plants, often combined with landscape management material.
Wood chips / forest wood chips
Freshly harvested standard fuel, among other things for steam plants in the food industry and spirits production.
(Industrial) pellets
Standardised fuel for saturated steam plants, e.g. in textile production and animal feed production.
Green cuttings, bark, short-rotation coppice, root stocks
Demanding biogenic fuels that are reliably combusted with special furnace cooling.
Spent grains, pomace, palm kernel shells, screen overflow, process waste
Special fuels from industrial processes for which the company develops fuel-specific solutions.
Steel
Material for in-house manufactured high-pressure piping, pump groups and steel structures.
