About Schmidt-Leuchten
Schmidt-Leuchten is a family-owned company from the Sauerland that produces individual object and custom luminaires. All luminaires are handcrafted on site; milling, turning and soldering are carried out in-house, while only a few parts that cannot be manufactured themselves are sourced from suppliers in the region. The construction and design of every luminaire are done with modern CAD software. Colors, shapes, shade sizes and the type of base can be individually customized. Customers include churches, hotels, commercial properties as well as restaurants and taverns; reference projects include, among others, Hotel Chateau, Hotel Rimberg, Hotel Schütte and Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten. In addition to individual production, the company offers its own luminaire series, including Libro, Focus Slim and Pluto.

Company history
- 1957
Herbert Schmidt acquired old cart wheels from farms in the surrounding area and made rustic luminaires from them for the home living room – this was the beginning of the company.
