About Schmitz Feuerwehrtechnik
Schmitz Feuerwehrtechnik is a German, owner-managed family business that develops and manufactures fire fighting and special-purpose vehicles for municipalities, volunteer and career fire departments, airports and civil protection. The product portfolio includes fire engines (HLF, MLF, TSF-W, TSF, KLF) to DIN 14530, tank fire engines, equipment and rescue vehicles to DIN 14555 as well as airport rescue and firefighting vehicles (FLF) to ICAO categories 1 to 10. Production takes place on series chassis with a modular superstructure concept in lightweight aluminium; the cabs are made of welded aluminium profile construction with GRP design cladding. The vehicles are produced according to individually coordinated loading plans, since 2024 also in line production from 10 tonnes. At five sites in Germany and Croatia (Nobitz, Farnstädt, Mudersbach, Ulm, Zagreb), the company additionally operates as a brand-independent service provider offering 24h service, maintenance, testing and repair of fire fighting vehicles and pumps on its own test benches. The range is rounded off by leasing, financing and rental models via Schmitz Financial Services.
