About Schmohl Nähautomaten
Schmohl Nähautomaten GmbH is a medium-sized company based in Eislingen/Fils in the greater Stuttgart area. The company designs and manufactures sewing automats, multi-needle sewing machines, sewing transfer lines as well as special-purpose machines and apparatus for processing textiles, foams and carbon fibre composites. Founded in 1955 in Göppingen as a trading and service business for household and industrial sewing machines, the company early on specialised in building multi-needle sewing machines for car seat covers and became a worldwide supplier to the automotive industry. Since 1988, a focus has been special-purpose machine and apparatus construction; the machines are developed and built from design through in-house parts production in the company's own workshop to assembly and commissioning at the customer's site. Applications include seat covers, foam mattresses, floor cleaning cloths, coffin fittings, medical devices and the STINGTECH technology for reinforcing sandwich composite materials with carbon or glass fibre roving, which is used among other things in aerospace. Customers include Daimler Benz, EADS and the Airbus Group.
