Safety of chemical processes since 1991
SCHNYDER Sicherheit in der Chemie AG is a scientific laboratory and consulting firm for the safety of chemical processes, headquartered in Rieden near Baden. Since 1991, the company has been investigating chemical and thermal process steps for inherent hazard potential and making these visible through safety analyses. The portfolio covers Chemical Reaction Safety, the investigation of the decomposition of condensed masses (DSC, RADEX, SEDEX), reaction calorimetry as well as standardised powder and dust tests (Powder Pack with Basic, Additional and Special Tests for dust fires, dust explosions, mechanical sensitivity and electrostatic behaviour). In addition, the company supports process development, process optimisation and scale-up, feasibility studies for reactor design, and the safety assessment of outsourcing and insourcing of chemical processes. The services are aimed at small, medium-sized and large companies in the chemical process industry, particularly in multi-product chemistry and fine chemicals manufacturing, worldwide. In 2005 the company took over the central safety laboratories of CLARIANT; since 2009 all activities have been consolidated at the headquarters in Rieden near Baden.
