About Scholtissek
The Scholtissek furniture manufactory was founded in 1972 and produces solid wood furniture for dining, living and sleeping areas as well as office furniture at its Ostercappeln location. The range includes one-of-a-kind tables in twelve precious wood species with seven stainless steel frame variants, more than thirty models of extendable tables with extension lengths of up to 3.50 metres, chairs and stools, benches, case furniture collections, desks, bedroom furniture, small furniture items and wrought iron accessories. Production is carried out by hand in a master carpenter's workshop, complemented by modern CNC-controlled machines for precise, dimensionally accurate manufacturing; in addition, the company offers varnishing, sanding of solid wood surfaces, upholstery, custom-made products and contract business. Only solid European and American hardwoods from PEFC-certified and verifiably deforestation-free forestry are processed, combined with stainless steel, iron, glass and synthetic resin. Products are distributed via qualified furniture retailers in Germany and neighbouring countries. As a family business under the management of Olaf Meckfessel, Scholtissek employs around 100 staff.

Acquisition by Olaf Meckfessel and family; new ownership and management since the beginning of the year.

Opening of the NATUR DESIGN LOFT 21 showroom on 28 April 2021 right next to the manufactory.

Company founder Reinhard Scholtissek passed away on 20 February 2024 at the age of 82.
