About us

Schotterwerke Michldorf GmbH operates a quarry with a crushing plant in Michldorf in the Upper Palatinate (Bavaria). The company extracts amphibolite rock and produces construction materials from it such as chippings, crushed stone, frost protection material, mixes, pre-screenings, cobbles, blasted rock and overburden. The production process includes clearing the overburden layer with a bulldozer, large-hole blasting with computer-assisted drilling, measuring and blasting technology (drilling depths up to 12 m), loading and transporting the muck pile with backhoe hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders and dump trucks, and crushing in primary crusher, secondary and impact mill stages. Screening lines classify the material into various grain fractions, and computer-controlled plant control systems and weighing systems enable loading and weighing onto trucks. In addition, the company accepts Z0 excavated soil. The approximately 15 employees supply customers from the construction industry, the rock industry and road construction. The company is a member of the Environmental Pact of Bavaria and was awarded the 'Blooming Business' (Blühender Betrieb) distinction in the Blühpakt Bayern (Bavaria Blossoming Pact) on 12.11.2025. Guided tours of the outdoor premises are offered.
