About Schreinerei Richard Schauer
The Schreinerei Richard Schauer GmbH is an owner-managed family business from Rohrdorf in Upper Bavaria, active in the cabinetmaking trade since 1927. The company produces custom furniture and objects according to customer specifications – no standard solutions – for the areas of cooking, dining, living, sleeping, bathing and working, as well as tables. The value chain includes planning and design in close cooperation with architects, handcrafted production from wood, and installation and assembly through to the finished interior. The result is individual, made-to-measure one-off pieces and room-defining living concepts in which function, design and comfort take centre stage. Since 1954 the business has been located at Markusstraße in Rohrdorf and is today run by the founder's grandson, Richard Georg Schauer, together with Barbara Schauer; with Richard Martin Schauer, the next generation also works in the company.

History
- 1927
On 1 April 1927, Georg Schauer set up his first joinery workshop in Sinning near Rohrdorf.
- 1954
New building on Markusstraße in Rohrdorf.
- 1963
Richard Schauer, the founder's son, took over the management and continuously expanded the company (until 1995).
- 2009
Richard Martin Schauer has been working in the family business since August 2009; victory at the World Championships of Craftsmen.
