About Schützinger
Schützinger GmbH is an owner-managed manufacturer of electrical connectors based in Stuttgart-Möhringen. The product range comprises around 291 standard products for test and measurement technology: spring-loaded basket plugs, panel, press-fit and laboratory jacks, couplings, adapters, shorting plugs, test leads, test probes, touch-proof and rapid-pressure clamps as well as automotive products, in the 2 mm, 4 mm, safety, BNC and Kelvin ranges and with rated voltages up to max. 6000 V. Contact parts are nickel-plated or gold-plated, insulating parts are made of PA 6.6 (UL94-V2). Terminations are soldered or screwed, typically up to 2.5 mm² conductor cross-section. Where standard parts are not sufficient, the company's own manufactory designs and manufactures custom connectors from enquiry through to series production. Customers are found in test and measurement technology, automotive and medical engineering; products are sold via sales representatives in Europe and internationally as well as through distributors.

History
- 1951
Founded by Gerhard Schützinger as 'Labor Schütz'; commercial agency for timber and hardware goods, jewellery items and electrical installation material (registration card no. 63, Münsingen district office).
- 1960er
Built up with Elisabeth Schützinger and the sons Michael and Bernhard; agencies including for RAFI (Rolf Kreeb) and, from 1961, for K.A. Schmersal.
- 1976
Michael Schützinger officially joins the family business and manages the new building on Eichwiesenring in Stuttgart-Möhringen; Bernhard Schützinger joins later.
