About SCHURTER
SCHURTER AG is a Swiss technology company founded in 1933, headquartered in Lucerne and part of SCHURTER Holding AG. The company develops, produces and distributes electronic components for equipment protection (fuses, fuse holders, circuit protection devices), appliance connections, switches, EMC products as well as custom components. In the field of HMI (Human Machine Interface), SCHURTER manufactures input systems such as PCAP touchscreens, resistive touchscreens, capacitive switches, membrane keypads and complete enclosure and control systems. Manufacturing features a high level of in-house production depth: several plastics plants, a punching/stamping facility, an in-house electroplating operation, cleanrooms for touchscreen manufacturing and a print shop. Process steps include injection molding, cable assembly, optical bonding, glass printing, lamination and electronics assembly (EMS). Materials used include plastics, polyester films, glass as well as nanocrystalline and ferrite ring cores for chokes. Served markets are industrial electronics, medical technology, automotive technology, aerospace, energy technology and rail vehicles. The Group supplies markets in around 60 countries in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
