About Schwarz Produktion
Schwarz Produktion is the umbrella brand of the Schwarz Group's production companies and manufactures private-label products for Lidl and Kaufland as well as, in part, for third parties. The portfolio covers mineral water and soft drinks, baked goods, bar chocolate, ice cream, nuts and dried fruits, coffee, pasta, jam, honey, as well as packaging, PET plastic and paper. At the core of the plastics division is a closed PET recycling loop: at three plastics and recycling plants, PET bottles returned via the one-way deposit system are processed into regranulate, from which PET preforms and closures are produced; a large share of beverages is filled in loop bottles made of 100 % recycled material. The roughly 5,500 employees are spread across a total of 19 companies organized under the intermediate holdings PHO G (beverages, packaging, recycling) and Sindra KG (food). Production sites are located throughout Germany; since 2023 the group has operated its first plant abroad with the MEG Derby beverage plant (United Kingdom).
