Schweißtechnik Burkhard GmbH was founded in 2008 and is an independent company of the BURKHARD Group headquartered in Kaufbeuren. As a contract service provider, the company offers the complete value chain of joining technology and heat treatment of metals: from component preparation and 3D laser cutting and tack welding through to welding using all common processes such as 3D laser welding, TIG, MIG, MAG, CMT, butt spot welding, resistance spot welding and stud welding – manual, semi- or fully automatic, including in robotic welding cells. The services are complemented by pressing and crimping with assembly automats, component assembly, component marking and final inspection with leak, flow and dimensional testing. An in-house quality assurance laboratory performs 3D measurement, micrograph samples, tensile and alloy testing. Production ranges from individual parts to series components, predominantly in stainless steel such as 1.4404 and 1.4571 as well as copper, mainly for mechanical and plant engineering.
